Are you looking to rebrand or bring something new and fresh to your brand?
Consider a simple logo! Nothing is more relevant in corporate branding than the saying “less is more”. If you look at the big boys in industry like Nike, Apple, Amazon, Google, Dell, LG, Sony, Facebook, Coca-Cola, Twitter, IBM, HP to name but a few, they all have one thing in common, effective simple designs.
Not only does a simple logo save costs on branding as costs increase per colour when you look at branding merchandise, promotional gifts or signage. Simple designs very seldom limit your type of branding or use of branding areas, for e.g. your average branding area on a pen would be 50 x 5 mm’s per position. Having a complex logo will increase the risk of your design not being legible or the need for simplification.
Shaded or gradient logo looks great online, but with branding like embroidery, screenprint, pad print or laser engraving, you can only brand solid images or colours. Keep in mind that simplification does not always work with all logos or types of branding.
